It's easy to get 'hung up' on lens test results. I've done it myself at times, it can bring on paranoia! But I wanted something to use on trips which was light and inexpensive. I went for the Nikon 18-55 VR. I have had some great results so far. Used properly i.e stopped down to f8, results are fine. The differences with pro lenses comes with build quality and IQ wide open etc. I have ordered the Nikon 55-200 VR to carry on trips also. Both lenses are cheap but competent when used properly. I tried the 50mm f1.8 with tubes and it just didn't work for me, found it much too tedious to change tubes etc. In the end I got 55mm f2.8 manual focus Nikon lens which goes [Lees meer...] gepost in 50mm f/1.8D AF Nikkor Lens, extension tube and filters
