I submitted the photos under the editorial tab and included the info on why the images are editorial, but they show up in the pending queue as regular submissions. What'd I do wrong? |

There's a checkbox right next to the search area. It seems to be checked by default. |

So what if I can get some good shots of footballers playing a match (Henrik Larsson plays for my local team)? Would it matter if there sponsor logos are seen on their strips?

No you don't have to remove any logos. In fact those logos will increase the editorial profile of your image. |

I just thought of something else; if I have an image somewhere as rights managed would it be ok to sell it here under editorial as well, or do the two clash? Technically you cannot submit the same image as RF as well as RM but the editorial license is not the same as RF... |

Do editorial images have a much shorter "shelf life" than RF images, particularly those connected to current affairs? If they do, surely the pricing structure needs to reflect this, ie, an RF image may earn small amounts over a long period of time - to match this, an editorial image should be available at a high price for the short period of time it is useful. Or have I missed the point somewhere?

- You can submit editorial without ticking the box that you agree with the conditions.
- When editing the image in the pending queue, you fall back in the RF screen - there is also no way to see if this image was submitted as Editorial. Imagine you made a mistake, then you can't change the category from RF to Editorial any more.

I uploaded some images for review, saw this announcement and immediately uploaded some for editorial. I ran into the same problem you did with not seeing the images in an editorial queue and appearing in pending as RF. It seemed like a glitch and concerned me because no MRs were attached, making them sure to be refused. It seems that all is well. The editorial images were reviewed before the others I had uploaded earlier.
My guess is that administration is seeing something we're not yet seeing in the management area? Whatever is happening, there was a speedy review of the editorial, following the guidelines for an editorial image. Pretty cool stuff. |
